Simon Evans coming to Comedy Unleashed
Tickets on sale now
Simon Evans kicks off the new year as the headliner on 13th January. He is joined by Intel Lady, who will perform as one of her many characters, Nicholas de Santo, Sean Meo and the ever popular Stephen Grant. Details and ticket links below.
A few weeks ago we published a short video of Stephen Grant from the October gig and it has been viewed well over 1 million times (if you add up YouTube, Insta, TikTok and Facebook). There’s a link below if you’ve not seen it yet. It’s so good.
By the time you’ve read this the next gig (Tuesday 9th December) has probably sold out. Leo Kearse, Kelli! Taylor, Mary Bourke, Elle Brent and our very own Mr. Frisby are all on the bill. Sorry, if you’ve missed out.
Our February gig will be headlined by Scott Capurro and he’s joined by Alan Francis, Dane Frisby is flying over from Ireland especially, Dominic Frisby (no relation apparently) and Lewis Schaffer makes his return.
Gig: Simon Evans
Tuesday 13th January 2026
Backyard Comedy Club, Bethnal Green E2 0EL
Simon Evans
Simon Evans is one of the UK’s most respected comedians. Familiar from TV and radio appearances - from Radio 4’s Simon Evans Goes to Market to the recently demised GB News Headliners as well as for his live tour shows and festival appearances. He has been at the top of his game now for over twenty years.
Intel Lady
Intel Lady hit the scene with her parodies of Angela “Us Labours” Rayner, Meghan Markle, Just Stop Oil activists. She has a cult following on TikTok and YouTube. We have no idea who she’ll turn up as. See Videos of Intel Lady
Sean Meo
Sean has been a stand-up comic since 1989. Before that, he had been a full-time snooker player, and was a quarter finalist in the English Amateur Championships of 1987. Sean regularly headlines at Jongleurs and The Comedy Store where he is a member of The Cutting Edge topical comedy team. Here’s a video clip of Sean at the London club
Nicholas de Santo
Conservative (with a proper big C) Iranian Italian stand-up comedian. One of the most popular acts on the Comedy Unleashed YouTube channel. Nicholas does new material about the issues of the day every time he performs.
Stephen Grant
A hugely popular MC at the London club. Stephen’s energy and intellect has won him multiple awards. He makes the place buzz and he has an opinion on everything and everyone.

Gig: Scott Capurro
Tuesday 10th February
Backyard Comedy Club, Bethnal Green E2 0EL
Scott Capurro
Scott makes a welcome return to Comedy Unleashed. He goes to heart of subjects that everyone else avoids. We bloody love him. “He’s evil and should be forced to leave the country” - Daily Mirror. “Vaingloriously poisonous” - Scotsman. Here’s a clip of Scott from the London club.
Alan Francis
After winning Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny? at the Edinburgh Festival, Alan became a regular performer on the UK and international comedy circuits and has performed stand-up on TV a number of times. He has appeared on TV in Psychoville and Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge and has been in Knowing Me Knowing Yule, Alistair McGowan’s Big Impression, Ancona and Co, Alas Smith and Jones, The BBC Stand Up Show, the Alan Davies Show and Alexei Sayle’s Stuff.
Dane Frisby
Having cut his teeth on the Estonian comedy scene during a visit to the Baltic states, and subsequently gigged across Europe and with some of Ireland’s premier comics, Irish comedian Dane Frisby is a rising talent and he’s flying over especially to do Comedy Unleashed.
Lewis Schaffer
Lewis was the darling of the demised satirical news show Headliners. We don’t know what he’s been doing since, but we’ll probably find out. If you don’t know Lewis, he’s a top New York comedian who settled in the UK. He is particularly loved by women of a certain age - charming, unpredictable, spontaneously surreal and utterly maverick. Here’s a clip of Lewis at the Scottish Hate Crime gig.
Dominic Frisby
Dominic is a libertarian version of Billy Bragg (with a sense of humour). Dominic’s recent video ‘We’re All far Right Now, was retweeted by Elon Musk and got 60 million views. Dominic will perform new songs and some old favourites.
See you soon!
